What is Cystic Fibrosis?

Cystic fibrosis is a genetic condition which affects the lungs and digestive system. For a child to get cystic fibrosis both parents must be carriers. Children suffering from cystic fibrosis are prone to lung infections. Although there is no current cure for cystic fibrosis there are a number of management techniques that can help a child live with cystic fibrosis without if affecting their activities of daily living.
