Plagiocephaly Plagiocephaly is a condition in which one side of a baby's head is flattened and is sometimes referred to as Flat head syndrome. A babies skull is made up of soft plates of bones which are not fully joined making it prone to remoulding when a baby spends a lot of time in the same position. Baby's heads are soft and are easily moulded into a different shape. It tends to affect premature babies more commonly as the skull plates are prone to re-moulding.
