Neurological disorders

A neurological disorder is an umbrella term for a variety of disorders in the nervous system, these can be structural, biochemical or electrical abnormalities in the brain, spinal cord and peripheral nerves (nerves which connect the body to the brain). Examples of neurological disorders are Cerebral Palsy and Spina Bifida.

Symptoms can include:

Walking problems
Cognition problems
Muscle weakness
Paralysis
Sensory problems
Communicating problems
Bladder and Bowel problems
High or low tone (stiffness or floppiness)
