Brain Tumours Brain tumours can be cancerous or benign (non-cancerous). Brain tumours are the second most common type of cancer in children. It is detected by a CT scan or MRI. Physical problems such as weakness or slow movement can be caused by the brain tumour itself or by the treatment needed to remove the brain tumour. Brain tumours can also effect personality depending on where the tumour is in the brain. Physiotherapy can help with the effects of a brain tumour or the effects of the treatment.
