The effects of Erb's Palsy The effects of Erb's Palsy depend on how badly the nerves are damaged. The effects are usually mild and are usually resolved in a couple of years. "Palsy" means weakness, explaining how Erb's Palsy causes weakness in the affected sides shoulder, arm or hand.
