Physiotherapy for Spinocerebellar Ataxia Our physiotherapists at Manchester Neuro Physio understand how Spinocerebellar Ataxia may have affected your everyday life and they will assess your needs and build a treatment plan for you to optimise your daily functioning. Your physiotherapist will assess your individual needs and will work to: Maintain muscle strength Relieve stiffness Encourage smooth flow of movement Develop balance Reduce your risk of falling Improve your quality of life During an initial assessment your physiotherapist will assess your current levels of mobility, range of movement, strength, balance and coordination.
