Multiple Cavernous Cavernomas

Multiple Cavernous Cavernomas

Multiple Cavernous Cavernoma is a condition which causes abnormal cluster blood vessels in the brain which look similar to raspberries on a MRI. These abnormal blood vessels can damage the brain by pressing on certain areas or by bleeding causing a haemorrhagic stroke. Symptoms can include weakness, numbness, and altered tone but it all depends on where in the brain the lesions occur and the size.

Physiotherapy can help improve the symptoms by strengthening weak muscles, providing sensation to help numbness and to help normalise tone to increase function.
