Becker's Muscular Dystrophy

Becker's Muscular Dystrophy

Is a genetic condition causing muscle wastage. Becker's Muscular Dystrophy is caused by a defect in the gene which makes the dystrophin protein which is needed to maintain the muscle cells structure and shape, the defect causes an insufficient amount of dystrophin protein being produced which then causes muscle cell death, muscle wastage/weakness and fatigue. Physiotherapy can help with the symptoms of Becker's Muscular Dystrophy.
