Developmental Delay A developmental delay is when your child doesn't achieve their milestones within the expected times. It is an ongoing delay in the process of development. This delay can affect fine motor (small movements such as holding a pen) or gross motor (large movements such as moving your arm), language, social or thinking skills. Physiotherapy can help with gross and fine motor skills. Physiotherapy can use strengthening, stretching, balance and co-ordination techniques to help improve your child's symptoms.
