Effects of Asthma

Common symptoms of a child with asthma is coughing and wheezing. You may notice your child has difficulty in breathing and chest tightness which may be aggravated during physical exercise. Symptoms may get worse overnight or during summer when there is an increase in environmental allergies.

A child may suffer from less energy during play and may complain of tightened neck and chest muscles, sometimes the only symptom you may notice is a chronic cough however every child presents differently and an assessment is important for correct diagnosis.
