Effects of Scoliosis

Common signs and symptoms of scoliosis is

  • If a child leans to one side when sitting, walking or standing.
  • If a shoulder blade or hip protrudes out more than the other.
  • A sunken chest and rounded shoulder posture.
  • Difficulty breathing
  • Complaining of back pain

Scoliosis is diagnosed through an X-ray, CT scan or MRI which will provide a detailed picture of the child's spine.

There are a number of different treatment options available for rectifying scoliosis and this will vary depending on the severity.
