A Brain or Nerve injury most commonly occurs from a trauma for example a road traffic accident or a fall. Injury can occur to the brain, spinal cord or peripheral nerves (nerves that connect your body to the brain). Injury to these structures can cause weakness, pain, numbness and poor balance.
